Members Albums
During March 2004 I received requests from several members to scan and post their photos, newspaper cuttings and even their treasured albums. As the web site is for the members then I have great pleasure in preparing the material for each presentation. It really is surprising to find out what has been said about the band in the newspaper cuttings. I have tried to include as much of this as possible. Each individual presentation starts by clicking on one of the link photos below.
The cuttings and photos are some times quite large and to get the definition that is required means that the file size will be large. That means slow loading. Sorry but the time spent waiting is likely to be time well rewarded.
"Honestly" I have no control over what is posted. I have just listened to the material owners.......................................
Anyone else wanting to have material posted can, but they may have to wait.
Lynne Elton. Has been connected with the band for a long time now and was deeply involved with majorette troupes in the past. Has just recently become an extremely important helper in the instruction of the Marxmen Colour Guard. Her help will be needed for some time to come as we are never quite sure what will happen in the future.
Tracy Livings with Dan Jones and Lee Gardham at Presentation evening in 1999. Tracy joined the band in 1990 and is still an active member today. She has earned some of the highest musical qualifications that any other band member has achieved and is currently playing Mellophone this season. Trumpet and clarinet have all been played by Tracy in the band. On her own I believe that the alto saxophone was one of her favourite instruments.
